~*HaPpY NeW YeAr*~

‎2011 has had its ups and downs for our family...we have had trials that have made us stronger and we have seen the Lord bless and answer prayers in our lives. We are blessed beyond what we deserve....I am so very thankful for the wonderful man that the Lord has placed by my side and also for the 'lil' man that holds my hand and calls me "mommy", what an honor to be a wife and a mother-I wouldn't trade it for anything! I pray that 2012 will bring our family as well as yours alot of Love, Peace & Happiness!!

Favorite Tablescape for 2011

This is definitely my favorite tablescape for this past year.

Click here Birds of a Feather Tablescape to view the entire tablescape.

A Hallway Vignette

I just LOVE this little table that I bought on Craigslist for $20.00!! A few months ago I also found this beautiful mirror at a thrift store in TN for $3.93!!! I couldn't believe the price, needless to say I grabbed it up very quickly! lol..  Then I began to wonder now where am I going to put this mirror??? It's far to pretty to not be on the wall so, when I got home the table and the mirror became a perfect match!!

I wanted a wintery scene so I started with a beautiful silver tea set that my husband already had before we were married, it was given to him by his mother. I placed the teapot on top of a silver spool that once held coax-cable. I liked the look of the set without shinning it all up so I just left it as is.

I added a green garland wreath with a wintery white sparkly swag (that my mom put together, thanks mom!) I added some snow to some clear glass votive cups and placed a battery operated candle inside.

Everything is setting on a burlap runner. I like how the earthy tones mix so well with the silver and white. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful and safe weekend.

**~Merry Christmas~**

Wishing you and your family a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Remember the real reason of the season is the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.....it's so easy to get wrapped up in our decorations, food, parties and presents that we forget the babe that was wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.... God Bless!!

A Christmas Tablescape for the 'lil' ones

Small Prince said that he would like to have a Tablescape all for him, lol..... he loves watching me put them together and when we are out shopping he is always picking items up and saying "Do you like this mommy?, would this work for your tablescapes? He is so incredibly sweet and precious.

So, I just used items that I already had here at home and he was thrilled with how it looked!

I used felt bulb shaped place mats from the Dollar Tree.
The plates were still in the store box and were purchased at Goodwill for $1.00!!

Rudolph and the Land of Misfit Toys paper napkins that were purchased last year for .50 at Goodwill. Candy Cane napkin rings are from Goodwill as well. I think they were $2 for the set.

I found these place card holders on E-bay last year. They were still in their store box and were $15.00 retail, I think I paid $6.00 total! They are SO cute! Each one is different.

Snowman Tin was .10 at a Thrift Store in Johnson City, TN

Inside are chocolate and mint marshmallows!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you & your 'lil' ones have a Merry Christmas!!
