Singing For Rain--Chocolate Brown & Turquoise Tablescape

See my sweet little bird in the center of my table?
 He is singing for rain!

He's perched inside of a bucket.....

I found this lovely bucket at Goodwill for 2.50!
I just love all the colors and the garden theme.
.

My plates were a Goodwill find for $1 each!
After I purchased them I came across the same plates at
Big Lots. The watering cans are from the Dollar Tree.

My vintage glasses were also a Goodwill find in
TN for $1 each.
I bought all 8 of them.

Rimshot....

My napkins were found at the local Peddlers Mall.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

A "Tweet" Tablescape with Turquoise & Chocolate

While on a routine visit to my local Dollar Tree I stumbled upon these beautiful
turquoise dishes that are trimmed in chocolate brown.
I knew immediately that I just HAD to have them so, in the cart they went!

I then turned the corner to go down the next aisle and what did I see next? Grapevine wreaths!!
All of a sudden the entire tablescape came together in my head lol....SO, into the cart goes the grapevine wreaths along with the dishes
.

I already had these sweet little bird napkin rings.

On a visit to Michael's I found these darling little nest tea light holders and with the sale they were having they were only $1.39 each. I love how they illuminate off the inside of the bowls when they are lit.

My turquoise candle holders were purchased at Goodwill for $1.00 each, I have had them for about a year now.

This is another shower curtain disguised as a tablecloth.
(it was purchased at Target)

I'm thrilled with how "tweet" it turned out.

Thank You so much for stopping by and I hope you have a blessed week!

This week I am joining the following parties:

Easter Gift Swap!!

I just participated in my first blog swap party and it was so much fun!

Sue over at It's a Very Cherry World hosted an Easter Swap party and I decided to join in on the fun!

My swap partner was the very lovely and most creative Meri Wiley who happens to be the owner of ImagiMeri's Creations. I tell you, this lady has more creativity in her little pinkie than I do in my whole body! Wait till you see all the sweet things that she sent me! PLEASE stop by and pay her a visit when you get an opportunity!

I LOVE this beautiful picture that Meri made! It is just bursting with signs of Spring and I have  it on my  tablescape that will soon be posted!

Even the back of the picture is pretty!!

Sweet vintage hankies.

Lots of crafting goodies and I love these pretty vintage coasters.

I'm looking forward to putting these beautiful bird pictures in some frames for my kitchen.

The darling little birds and butterfly already have a new spot which will be shown in another upcoming post.

Lots of gorgeous cards.

I love these napkin rings and I'm excited about using them on a future tablescape.

Just look at this beautiful floral handbag!!! Candles tied in a pretty purple striped ribbon....
They are certainly "Plum Perfect"

The inside of the handbag.

Last but not least a sweet little bunny who is also going to be in an  upcoming post!

I am beyond thrilled with all these lovely goodies. Meri certainly spoiled me and I look forward to using all these items.
Please stop by and visit Meri and see all her crafty goodness

Above the Kitchen Cupboard Part II

Today I woke up to Tornado and Flash Flood Warnings! Not exactly how I wanted to spend my day, especially after having been sick for three days and nights. We are safe and sound though and I spent the day straightening up and doing laundry. It's amazing how the house looks after a few days of mommy being on the couch or in bed lol....

On with the Kitchen Cupboard!

I purchased the mirror stand at a Garage Sale a couple years ago for $2.00, it is Home Interior!
The white picture I purchased from my Aunts Garage Sale for $3.00
Blingy candle stand was a $2.00 Goodwill find
The little girl on the swing with a bird perched on her hand was also a Goodwill find for .50
Birdhouse, nest and stand were all thrifty finds.

I just LOVE this birdhouse!! The bottom is out of it which allows me to use it like a cloche. I placed a little bird from the Dollar Tree on a nest underneath and the cat who is carefully watching the bird belonged to my Mamaw. The little bluebird is very thankful to be on the outside looking in!!

I found this cute little tray at the Goodwill for $1.00!
I have not looked up the wording on it yet so I sure hope it is G-rated!! lol....

Well, that concludes what is above the Kitchen Cupboard. Next week I will be showing some more of the bird decor that is throughout the kitchen. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great night!

Above the Kitchen Cupboard Part I

I have decorated my kitchen in birds and I'm just LOVING it!

This is the first of several posts that I will be doing on my kitchen and my sweet birds.
This is actually a box, I just opted to have it standing instead of filling it with items that couldn't be seen.
I purchased it at Cato for $2.99 on clearance!

The turquoise birds also were purchased at Cato and they were only $1.99 each!
The green birds sitting on the candlesticks were purchased at Gordmans for .99 each!
I just LOVE them!!

This little stand was purchased at Big Lots for $7.99

So, this is what is in the middle section above the cupboard.
You may remember the green shutter from Christmas. I had used it as a card holder and now it has a place in the kitchen.
I just love it when an item can be used for more than one purpose!!

Please stay tuned for the rest of the kitchen, one post at a time.
