Cinco de Mayo Tablescape

Cinco de Mayo is May 5th and I will be in Texas with my brother and his wife for the arrival of their firstborn!
A sweet little girl will be here very soon and we are so thrilled!! Small Prince and I along with my parents will be flying out on Monday and then returning home on May 9th.

I only celebrate Cinco de Mayo here in blogland and with a tablescape.
With as busy as I am and getting ready to leave for this trip I have decided to post an older tablescape that I put together right after I started doing tablescapes.

Forgive the picture quality, I've come a long way and I'm still working on improving my blog skills :)

This setting all started with this beautiful tablecloth that I purchased at Habitat for Humanity for $10.00
It is from Iran and is hand painted. Normally I don't pay more than $2-$4 for a tablecloth but this was so pretty and unlike anything I have owned so it was a must have!

Gold Chargers are from Walmart

I purchased these pretty metal star chargers from Savers Thrift Store and they were a set of 4 for $4.00. They are from Walmart and were originally $3.97 each!

Another find were these pretty Home Trends buttery yellow plates purchased at the Goodwill for $1.00 each!
I found these beautiful saucers at Savers Thrift Store as well and they were $1.99 each. On the back they say TableTops Gallery, Italiano, Hand Painted. I just love the deep rich colors and had to splurge to buy them! (very well worth it)

You can read HERE  about my Golden Bouquet Flatware!!

Stemware was purchased at the Dollar Tree.

Napkin Rings are Better Homes and Gardens from Walmart.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

  2. HI Aledia. Another pretty table setting! By the way, where do you store all your tablescape findings? I live in Texas, outside Houston. Bring your summer clothes if you are heading this way. It's already consistantly in the mid 80's. Have fun and enjoy that new niece of yours.

  12. Very pretty, and to think that on Cinco de Mayo I ate my tacos off of paper plates and had my margaritas in a plastic cup. Still - it was good.
