Cinco de Mayo is May 5th and I will be in Texas with my brother and his wife for the arrival of their firstborn!
A sweet little girl will be here very soon and we are so thrilled!! Small Prince and I along with my parents will be flying out on Monday and then returning home on May 9th.
I only celebrate Cinco de Mayo here in blogland and with a tablescape.
With as busy as I am and getting ready to leave for this trip I have decided to post an older tablescape that I put together right after I started doing tablescapes.
Forgive the picture quality, I've come a long way and I'm still working on improving my blog skills :)
Gold Chargers are from Walmart |
I purchased these pretty metal star chargers from Savers Thrift Store and they were a set of 4 for $4.00. They are from Walmart and were originally $3.97 each! |
Another find were these pretty Home Trends buttery yellow plates purchased at the Goodwill for $1.00 each! |
You can read HERE about my Golden Bouquet Flatware!! |
Stemware was purchased at the Dollar Tree. |
Napkin Rings are Better Homes and Gardens from Walmart. |
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
Beautiful table setting! I adore the stemware; hope the Dollar Tree will carry these again soon!

HI Aledia. Another pretty table setting! By the way, where do you store all your tablescape findings? I live in Texas, outside Houston. Bring your summer clothes if you are heading this way. It's already consistantly in the mid 80's. Have fun and enjoy that new niece of yours.
ReplyDeleteHi Aledia...
ReplyDeleteOhhh...your Cinco de Mayo table is sooo beautiful! That gorgeous handpainted tablecloth just makes the entire table! I love the design..and the rich colors! Love how you picked up those same rich colors in your place settings. The salad plate looks fabulous with the tablecloth! Such a beautiful table, my friend!
Best wishes and safe travels to Texas. I'm sooo envious. All of my family...kids and grandkids live in Texas. Wished I were going with you! Hehe! Enjoy that new baby girl!!!
Thanks so much for coming by and leaving such a sweet note for me on my tea on the veranda post! I sooo enjoyed your visit, my friend!
Warmest wishes,
Chari
How beautiful darling Aledia, your table dishes are perfect for 5 de Mayo. I never made a table for this date and have nothing that will work, whereas your table is fabulous! I specially love the tablecloth, it's lovely with the slad plates. Enjoy your trip and congrats on your new little niece! Hugs,

Very pretty, and to think that on Cinco de Mayo I ate my tacos off of paper plates and had my margaritas in a plastic cup. Still - it was good.
