Corner of Pink for Pink Saturday

Due to having the flu all week I didn't have anything prepared for Beverly's Pink Saturday Party over at How Sweet The Sound. So, I quickly snapped a few photo's this evening of a corner in my dining room and decided that it will just have to do.

I just ADORE this sweet little lamp that I picked up at a Flea Market in Branson . It was only $4.00 due to the fact that it did not  have a shade. Well, to me that was an easy fix!

I found a plain little shade at a Garage Sale, some material left over  from recovering chair cushions, some beaded fringe and rose trimming and wa-lah! This is the end result. My mom was visiting at the time so she had a big part in the transformation.

My Small Prince (who will be 6 in June)

Roses on the front drawers of the little table.

Table Top Roses

Another great Goodwill find, I can never have enough doilies.
Thank You for stopping by and hopefully next week I will be a little more prepared.
Enjoy your weekend!

  5. So sorry to hear you had the flu. I have been sick twice this winter and it was nasty. Seems strange that I got the sickest in our mildest winter. Anyways ~ hope you are feeling better and on the mend.
Love that Goodwill doily!!! I've never found them at GW. I get most of mine at flea markets, but that is a sweet find. I so agree with you ~ you can never have enough doilies.

  14. Sorry you have been feeling ill....I hope you feel better soon! How sweet is that table with the painted roses, and like you I love doilies. Hard to find them in colors anymore. I keep saying I will crochet one someday, but well that will have to go on my bucket list after all the other projects I want to do. I'm sure you know how that is. *smile*

You did a wonderful job on transforming your lamp. I've seen that fabric at Hobby Lobby and have always thought it was so pretty.

Thank you for visiting Cozy Home Kitchen and adding the button to your sidebar. I will be sure to add your link to my blog roll!
