I have not fallen off the face of the earth even though it feels as though I have. I have not posted since August!! WOW, let me tell you how hard that has been. Where have I been? Well, I'm so glad you asked! lol...
First of all----I came to TN the first of August to be with my Dad while he had a aneurysm surgery and my 10 day stay turned into a permanent one. I'm happy to report that my Dad is doing well and it has just taken a little longer than thought to re-cooperate but over all the Dr's are very happy with how he is doing.
For the past year Mr.Darling Dear has been looking for a position outside of Corporate America...the reason? Well, his phone rings off the hook at all hours, he works long hours and even brings work home, family time is short and the stress of the Company "owning you" (if you know what I mean) just all became to much. To make a long story short, while I was in TN a job opened up in the same town that my parents live in, how AMAZING is that??? He applied and was hired for the position!
SO---after playing nurse for a couple weeks I went home and packed the entire place up in 5 days and then headed to MI & IN for a girls get away with my sister and my cousin that was planned prior to all the happenings. Might I add that we had a wonderful week and I will have a post coming soon with some pictures from our trip.
Not only have I moved, taken a trip, put Small Prince in school (after having home schooled for 2 yrs) became a Cub Scout Mom :) Oh, how fun is that??? we are looking forward to all the activities.
BUT---I am opening a store!! How I've managed to have time for that I have no idea lol...
My Mom and my Sister will be helping me out and so we have named the store A Hen and Two Chick's. Do you like the name? We are so excited!! We will have furniture, home decor, bedding, candles, crafts and much more! I will more than likely start a second blog dedicated to the store and I do hope you will follow there as well.
Well, I think that brings you up to date with all that has been going on and I do plan on being back to posting as normal. I look forward to catching up on all that I have missed the last couple of months. Take Care and I hope you all have a very wonderful weekend!!
It's good to have you back. You must be exhausted!! Sounds like you haven't slowed down in a while.
ReplyDeleteWill be following your new blog. Just let us know when it's up and running. Wish you great success with the store!
Welcome back...what a lot of changes. God works!!! Best of luck with everything!

Hi Aledia. I'm so happy that you really didn't drop off the face of the earth. I'm so glad your Dad is doing well, that must have been a scary time for your family. What a great deal your husband got a new job. My husband worked in corporate America, if fact he had 100 people under him and it was horrible. We moved to Grass Valley and he took a job for the school district in maintenance and what a happy guy he was. (Me too). Retired now, in our little Cottage and couldn't be happier. You will find that too. Good luck on your store. I love the name..Happy Thursday..Judy
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, pretty Aledia, I'm stunned! Only a few minutes ago I was thinking about you and how I missed you around blog land and here you are...I'm so happy to hear from you, sweetie!! So great dad is doing well and that hubby got a new job, wow, pretty good news I would say! May God bless you with your new store and it sounds great, I'm also sure it'll be a hit!! Lots of hugs, and again, I'm so glad you didn't fall off the face of the earth, sweet pea! Big hugs,
