~*Mothers Day Tablescape*~Tablescape Thursday

Mothers Day is upon us and I have been looking high and low for some extra special dishes to make the tablescape magnifico! Well, today! I went to the booth to do some restocking and on my way out the door, from the corner of my eye I spotted this BEAUTIFUL set of dishes. A service for 6 of plates, saucers and teacups. I checked them over real good and after finding no chips or flaws and seeing that the price was $20.00 for the whole set well, I just knew THIS was the set of dishes for the Mothers Day Tablescape. As I'm taking all the pieces to the counter my mind is already going 100 miles a minute you know the whole "what tablecloth will I use" what about the centerpiece, Oh! and we mustn't forget the stemware! Well, on one of the trips from the booth to the counter my eyes spy what? YES!! the stemware! By now I'm as giddy as a school girl lol.... so upon investigating the stemware I see that they are in perfect condition and will match very nicely with the dishes AND they were $8.00 for a set of 6!

So then it was the rush home, get all the dishes washed and start pulling out all the accessories to make the tablescape. Somehow I was able to get it all pulled together, the pictures taken, transferred to the computer and now hopefully I will be able to get the blog post done in time for Tablescape Thursday! :)

Stop by and visit with Susan at Between Naps On The Porch for more great tablescapes!

I laid black lace (purchased at Walmart on the $2.00 table) down first and then added this strip of black and white damask on top down the middle.

Vintage Creamer $1.00 Goodwill

Vintage S&P Shakers

Stemware from the Flea Market. Set of 6 for $8.00!

I am just in love with these new dishes!!

I turned some vintage dessert dishes upside down to add some height to my votive cups!

A vintage butter dish is holding our tea bags! All I did was placed gift tags from the Dollar Tree over the string of the tea bag! How cute is that?

Hot tea/coffee pitcher that I purchased at Savers for $7.99!!

A cute little silver sugar bowl and creamer set that was given to me by my Aunt many years ago, Thanks Aunt Debby! It looks great with the other silver items on the table.

A $2.00 Goodwill find!

The name of the pattern for this set is Midnight Mood, how romantic!!

Napkin rings purchased at Goodwill!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your Mothers Day weekend! Although I won't be able to spend mine with my mom I have to remember that I am a mom to one sweet lil man who I adore!

  4. Wow, what finds! I love how you found everything for such great prices and then pulled it together! Yes, it does take so many decisions doesn't it, then you have to transfer the photos, write the copy, edit, etc. etc. It is a lot of work but the creative process is fun. You did a great job!
