Cinco de Mayo Tablescape

Cinco de Mayo is May 5th and I will be in Texas with my brother and his wife for the arrival of their firstborn!
A sweet little girl will be here very soon and we are so thrilled!! Small Prince and I along with my parents will be flying out on Monday and then returning home on May 9th.

I only celebrate Cinco de Mayo here in blogland and with a tablescape.
With as busy as I am and getting ready to leave for this trip I have decided to post an older tablescape that I put together right after I started doing tablescapes.

Forgive the picture quality, I've come a long way and I'm still working on improving my blog skills :)

This setting all started with this beautiful tablecloth that I purchased at Habitat for Humanity for $10.00
It is from Iran and is hand painted. Normally I don't pay more than $2-$4 for a tablecloth but this was so pretty and unlike anything I have owned so it was a must have!

Gold Chargers are from Walmart

I purchased these pretty metal star chargers from Savers Thrift Store and they were a set of 4 for $4.00. They are from Walmart and were originally $3.97 each!

Another find were these pretty Home Trends buttery yellow plates purchased at the Goodwill for $1.00 each!
I found these beautiful saucers at Savers Thrift Store as well and they were $1.99 each. On the back they say TableTops Gallery, Italiano, Hand Painted. I just love the deep rich colors and had to splurge to buy them! (very well worth it)

You can read HERE  about my Golden Bouquet Flatware!!

Stemware was purchased at the Dollar Tree.

Napkin Rings are Better Homes and Gardens from Walmart.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

A "Tweet" Tablescape with Turquoise & Chocolate

While on a routine visit to my local Dollar Tree I stumbled upon these beautiful
turquoise dishes that are trimmed in chocolate brown.
I knew immediately that I just HAD to have them so, in the cart they went!

I then turned the corner to go down the next aisle and what did I see next? Grapevine wreaths!!
All of a sudden the entire tablescape came together in my head lol....SO, into the cart goes the grapevine wreaths along with the dishes
.

I already had these sweet little bird napkin rings.

On a visit to Michael's I found these darling little nest tea light holders and with the sale they were having they were only $1.39 each. I love how they illuminate off the inside of the bowls when they are lit.

My turquoise candle holders were purchased at Goodwill for $1.00 each, I have had them for about a year now.

This is another shower curtain disguised as a tablecloth.
(it was purchased at Target)

I'm thrilled with how "tweet" it turned out.

Thank You so much for stopping by and I hope you have a blessed week!

This week I am joining the following parties:

The literal translation of Liebster from German is my beloved friend.

So the rules are:
1. nominate 5 up and coming blogs with less than 200 followers.
2.Show your gratitude to the person who nominated you by linking back to their blog

Susie's Seashell Tablescape!

"Susie Sells Seashells by the Seashore"....always loved that little tongue twister.
This weeks tablescape is just "Plum Perfect" for Susie!

I printed the shell postcard from The Graphics Fairy.

I found the dish set at Goodwill in TN, $7.00 for the whole set.

All of the seashells you see in this post were in a big bag at the Peddlers Mall here in Louisville for $3.00....What a Deal!!

Shhh.....the tablecloth really isn't a tablecloth at all----it's a shower curtain in disguise!!
Another great Goodwill find for $2.00.

I have used this stemware A LOT lately but they are so pretty and seem to go with so many  different settings.

The shell candle holders were also from the Goodwill and were .50 each.
The shell coasters were knew in the package, set of 8 for .99.

I think Susie would be pleased :)

"Once Upon a Springtime" Tablescape

"Once Upon a Springtime" Tablescape

I just LOVE this checked and polka dot tablecloth, I purchased it at a Thrift Store for $1.00 and it was new in the package from Stein Mart.

I used a lot of colors in this tablescape and I just love how it turned out.

I purchased these napkins and rings at a Peddlers Mall here in Louisville for $5.00 and when I got them home I found a sticker on the back of one of the napkins for $4.99 each from Kohls.

I adore these little egg cups that I found at a Sale in Indiana and best of all they were .10 each!! SCORE!

Spring Stemware purchased at Goodwill for $1.00 each.

Love the fragrance of this Spring Meadows Yankee Candle.

I'm thinking this cute little guy may be a soap dish but I used him for some robin egg candy. He was $1.75 at the Goodwill.

I found these carrot trees at a Thrift Store in Jacksonville, AR for $2.00 each.

This beautiful picture was a part of my gift from a Easter Gift Swap that I participated in. You can go here Easter Gift Swap to see all the details! This picture is the inspiration for my tablescape.
