~~Happy Memorial Day~~

Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who have sacrificed their time, their families and for some even their lives. I know the latter part of that last sentence all too well.
Back in January I did a post entitled A Fallen Soldier-Hero- And Friend . Please continue to pray for the family of this young man, I imagine how hard today must be for them as this tragedy has been so recent.

Say "Thank You"! to a Veteran today. Remember that it is because of them that you can have your freedom and can enjoy your family gatherings, picnics, BBQ's and all the other festivities that take place today.

If you are travelling, be safe!
God Bless America....

Rhapsody in Blue Tablescape

~~Rhapsody in Blue Tablescape~~

I borrowed my mom's pretty blue chargers

This tablescape has been a work in progress for over a month now. I found these beautiful  dishes at the Goodwill. They are Sheffield Rhapsody #503. As soon as I laid eyes on them I knew they just had to come home with me. I bought the service for four including the butter dish for $10.00!! I was thrilled with the price.

The pretty embroidered napkins came from a Thrift Store just last week and they were $2.93 for a set of four.
The knife spreaders also came from a Thrift Store and were $7.99, a little more than I like to pay but they were so pretty and new in the box so....somehow they found their way into my cart.

I NEVER...... EVER.......  win anything, I mean my name could be the only one in a box along with a blank piece of paper and believe me the blank paper would be drawn lol.... BUT---I have won not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 giveaways here in blogland  since the end of February.
The little paper pocket that is holding my tea packets were in a  scrapbook giveaway that Shannon at A Southern Belle with Northern Roots hosted. You can go HERE to see all the lovely things that she sent me!

These beautiful napkin rings were a gift from Meri at ImagiMeri's. She was my partner in a Easter Swap Party that Sue from It's a Very Cherry World hosted. You can go HERE to see all the wonderful items that Meri sent to me.

My tablecloth is a full size flat sheet that I picked up at Goodwill for $2.00. Gotta love those Goodwill deals!

Please stop by and visit with Shannon, Meri and Sue, I know you will enjoy their blogs.

I will soon be sharing more about the giveaways that I have won so stop back in.
Thank You for coming by today!

Rosemary, Basil & Sage Tea Vignette

Mr. Darling Dear came across this beautiful tea set about a year ago, he found it on the clearance
shelf and it was at such an amazing price that he bought two! I decided to keep one for myself and
the other one well, I'm not exactly sure yet. Perhaps I see a giveaway in the very near future!?

The Tea Set is by Mary Jane's and it retails for $80.00!
The Mary Jane's Farm Brand was conceived by MaryJane Butters on her organic farm in Idaho. It is an American classic, celebrating the rural aesthetic, along with farmgirl ingenuity, beauty, humor, and honesty.

The little green vase was a garage sale purchase for .50 and the three ceramic eggs well....they have been around for so long I forget where they came from or how much they cost.

This sweet little bunny who is taking his rest under the topiary tree is a handmade gift by Meri. She has a very lovely blog over at ImagiMeri's, you must stop by and pay her a visit!

This little pie is actually a candle. I don't have the heart to burn it though...it smells like cinnamon and brown sugar!

Thank You so much for stopping by and I hope you have a blessed week!

P.S. I just noticed that I forgot to put the actual "tea" onto the table!! Oh well, we all have those days. I guess this one will make it to the *bloopers* post next year. :)

Flower bowls were purchased at a Church Sale, $3.00 for the set of four.

Stemware was purchased at  Salvation Army, set of 11 for $5.00!
