~~July 4th Tablescape~~

July 4th has snuck right up on me this year, I guess it's just because I've been so busy lately.
I did manage to put together a quick tablescape though! I haven't decided on what will be on the menu yet but I do know some fireworks are in store for us this weekend. On the 4th small prince and I will be going to Louisville with Mr. Darling Dear so that we can continue our search for the new house!! And while Mr. Darling Dear is at work during the day we get to enjoy some quiet time at the hotel and do lots of swimming! I'm looking forward to the get-away. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Very simple settings this year

I just love the chargers that I picked up at Savers a couple months back, this is their second time on the table!

The flatware set came from the Dollar Tree!!

Lady Liberty Angel also came from Savers and she was $2.99

The pitcher and glass set was also a Savers find and I paid $8.00 for the set!! Gotta love Savers!!

Placemats came from the Goodwill and were $2.00 for the set of 4

I only had 2 of the star covered napkins so I alternated with some blue.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope your weekend is Plum Perfect!!

Birds of a feather.....Tablescape Thursday!!!

I am taking a break from all the packing, cleaning, packing, laundry, packing, painting, did I mention packing? lol.... anyway, I have been working on a Birds Tablescape for awhile now collecting and waiting for everything to come together. As of last week I had everything that I needed except for the tablecloth and I have been looking high and low and everywhere in between for just the right one. I couldn't find anything! nowhere! I was getting discouraged and I decided to make a run to Target and although they had nothing that I thought would work alas.... upon walking down the bath aisle (thanks to my friend Liz, who noticed them first :) )  I came across the most beautiful bird bathroom decor. I just loved it and it was the right colors and well.....I'm sure you know where this is going. Yes, I did...I purchased the shower curtain. (just under $20.00 including tax) The next day, the beautiful shower curtain was laid across the table and wa-lah a tablescape was born!! I am so in love with this setting that I am going to leave it on the table for the home staging and pictures for the realtor.

Shower Curtain made Tablecloth from Target

This beautiful set of dishes that included Plates, Saucers and Teacups were purchased at a Flea Market in Flemingsburg, Ky and you will never believe the price that I paid for these..... $4.00 for the whole set!!! They were on a clearance table in a back room and as soon as I spotted them they were mine! The bottom of the plates say....Colonial Taylor Smith & Taylor Platinum Blue. I just love them and they match this setting Plum Perfectly!

The "bird tidbit dish" I purchased at Cracker Barrel on Clearance for $1.49 each.
I just LOVE these!!

The bird napkin rings came from Savers and I believe they were $2.99 for the set.

This gorgeous cookie jar is what started the whole thing! I have had it about a year now and I purchased it at Thrift Store in LaFollette, Tn and paid $5.00 for it. It is from Cracker Barrel as well!!

This beautiful large bowl was another Thrift Store find here in Jacksonville, Ar and it was only $4.00.
It is by: Creative Co-Op
The smaller stand inside was a Goodwill purchase and it was $2.50.
Perhaps some cheese cubes on the green stand and some bread in the bowl?

These darling little birds came from Gordmans and they were $1.99 each.

Thank You so much for flying in and visiting today!
I also have the Dinning Room Buffet decorated in Birds as well so keep an eye open for that posting! (coming soon)

A Thrifty Tablescape!

If you have read my previous post you know that we are in the process of moving! Small prince and I are also out of state visiting family and looking for our new house! So much excitement and fun going on right now and with that said I obviously will not be able to keep up with my tablescapes every week as all those items will soon be packed and in boxes.

However, before leaving home I did some thrift store shopping and with my finds I was able to come up with a very quick and simple yet warm and cozy tablescape.

Set of 4 Home Trends Plates $2.00 each at the Goodwill

Amber Stemware $1.00 each purchased at the same time as the plates at Goodwill.

Tablecloth was a freebie that was going in the trash and Mr. Darling Dear rescued it and brought it home to me.
I have had the brown wood look chargers for several years now, they were purchased at a Thrift Store in Johnson City, Tn.

Olive saucers were purchased at Goodwill as well and they were a set of 8 for $3.99.

The napkin rings were a Goodwill purchase and there were 4 in a box for $2.00
The napkins were a lawn sale find and were a set of 4 for $2.00 as well.

The decorative finials came from the Dollar Tree.

I used the Golden Bouquet Flatware.

The iron tealight holder is from Southern Living at Home and was a freebie for me with my hostess credit. This piece is so great and can be used so many different ways, I really love it.

The large amber glass piece came from a Thrift Store and I got it for a whole $1, what a deal!!

Thank You so much for stopping by and I hope your week is Plum Perfect!!
